Creative Kids is a nationally recognized creative youth development organization dedicated to empowering under-resourced youth in the border community of El Paso, Texas and Southern New Mexico. Through the transformative power of the arts, we help young people thrive both creatively and emotionally while fostering resilience, self-expression, and a sense of belonging. For over 25 years, our outreach programs have transformed thousands of young lives that are facing adversity - proving that creativity is a powerful tool for resilience and growth.

why we exist
Creative Kids exists because high-quality art education is often a privilege, not a right. In our community, children facing the greatest hardships—illness, poverty, and trauma—are the ones with the least access to creative outlets. We exist to ensure that these 'invisible' populations are seen, heard, and given the professional-grade tools they need to change their own narratives.

We believe that the act of creation is a bridge to cognitive and emotional growth. We believe that purposeful instruction—not just 'arts and crafts'—is what builds the discipline, character, and healing necessary for long-term success.
